Stuart Hurst
Field Project Manager

Stuart Hurst is a culinarian with a degree in Hotel and Catering Management and a year of post-graduate training as a chef in Switzerland. He is 30-year veteran of the Dining Services industry with extensive achievements in business operations, multi-unit management, contractor environments, continuous improvement, efficiency and profitability. He has held dining services executive positions in industries moving up from General Manager to Regional Director of Operations.

As a project manager for Corporate Dining, Inc. for the past four years, Stuart’s current projects include The World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Johns Hopkins APL, USAA, Florida Blue, Wells Fargo, and Walmart, just to name a few.


Barbara Clemens
Project Manager, Business Intelligence

Barbara has been with the company since 1998. With a strong IT, legal and now dining background, she has both expertise and national recognition in developing benchmarking data exchanges for corporate and campus dining markets. As a Business Intelligence Project Manager, Barbara develops new technology tools to transform raw data into useful and meaningful information. She is developing interactive dashboards to provide clients with an organized and quick way to view their data.

Barbara has directed annual trade association benchmarking, data gathering & analysis for RFPs, and has worked on customer satisfaction, leadership, and benchmarking surveys for companies such as Google, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, Assoc. of Health Care Foodservices, Protective Life, Blue Cross Blue Shield Florida and North Carolina, and Sprint.


Thomas Newcomb
Principal and Owner, Field Project Manager

Tom focuses on committing to projects where the team relationship will provide long-term strategic benefits for clients. Tom has stayed actively involved as a project manager and as leader of the company for over twenty-five years. He was one of the first pioneers of the discipline of benchmarking, the process of continuous improvement, and the sharing of best practices in onsite dining. Tom is the recipient of the Society for Foodservice Management 2008 Leadership Award and 2011 Richard Ysmael Distinguished Service Award.


Hannah Newcomb
Project Associate

Hannah Newcomb received her undergraduate degree at Otterbein University with a B.S. in Psychology and Latin American Studies. Hannah is fluent in conversational Spanish and has a dual masters from Azusa Pacific University in Marriage and Family therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. She has taught statistics as a College professor while living in California and has a background in doing research for psychology and behavioral practices.

As a Project Associate in Business Intelligence Hannah works with FoodMark® Benchmarking, which incorporates data gathering for over 125 U.S. corporations and conducts all Original Research studies.


Ward Byrne
Field Project Manager

Ward Byrne brings strong financial acumen, an operational background, and experience in sales and marketing to Corporate Dining, Inc. Following graduation from Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Ward’s career developed in Hospitality Management. He has spent his entire career in dining services, holding the following positions: Cook Manager, General Manager, District Manager, Regional Operations Manager, Account Executive, and National Account Manager. Ward has been part of Corporate Dining, Inc. since early 2002. Ward’s current client group includes Time Inc., MassMutual Life Insurance, Celgene Corp., Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, and Sanofi US, to name a few.


Liz Boone, RD, LD, MBA
Field Project Manager

The former executive Director of Nutrition Services at Aultman Hospital, an inner city acute care 804-bed hospital, Liz, a registered and licensed dietitian, joined our company as Project Manager in 2015. Liz was an Adjunct Professor at Aultman College of Nursing & Health Sciences and a participating member of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics and Ohio Board of Dietetics. She has a BS in Dietetics & Nutrition from Ohio University and MBA in Healthcare Administration from Regis University. Awards include the Presidential Special Service Award for Benchmarking from Association of Healthcare Foodservice, where she has been the Benchmarking Chair for 3+ years, and the Illuminating Excellence Award from Premier (GPO) for demonstrated excellence in the food service field.

Liz is responsible for the Association of Healthcare Foodservices (AHF), FoodMark® program and has performed work at Intuit, USAA and the PASSHE Universities.


Ron Papajcik
External Benchmarking, Systems Manager

A graduate of Case Western Reserve University and its Weatherhead School of Management, Ron joined Corporate Dining, Inc. and Campus Dining, Inc. as System Administrator for the AHF Benchmarking Express™ in 2013, responsible for maintaining the benchmarking website, generating monthly and quarterly reports, and enrolling/answering member questions about benchmarking. Practical experience as a user group member, an Information Systems Manager, and former president of an international software user group, gives Ron a range of perspectives to help our clients benefit from their investment in benchmarking.


Chris Cassaniti
Business Operations Manager

Chris joined Corporate Dining, Inc. in early 2015, and is our internal operations manager and our project coordinator for our corporate clients, including companies such as Capital One, Halliburton, The International Monetary Fund, USAA, and The World Bank Group. An avid tech enthusiast, Chris also provides our on-site IT-Support. Chris received his Bachelor of Arts from Wittenberg University and a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

Prior to law school, Chris worked as a financial analyst with a Cleveland-based investment management firm, co-founded an international education non-profit organization, and has studied law in both Shanghai, China and The Hague, Netherlands. He has conducted internships for New Pacific Consulting in Shanghai and the U.S. Department of Defense, and speaks Mandarin Chinese.
